In 1958 Ron MAHLSTADT sold 9 acres of land on West Iowa to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Iowa for the purpose of building a Catholic church, Parochial school, and residence. The church became know as the Indianola St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
