Eliza grew up in White Breast Township in Warren County, Iowa. She married Thomas STRAHAN in 1881 when she was 19. Thomas died on April 26, 1882 and Eliza married Jacob MILLER in 1886.
Chariton Herald Patriot newspaper, Chariton, Iowa, Thursday, April 28, 1904, p. 8, col. 2: "Mrs. Jake MILLER died at her home three and one half miles northwest of this city Monday morning. Mrs. MILLER has been in very poor health for several months past. Her remains were interred in the Shupe cemetery near her home. The sorrowing husband and family have the sympathy of all."
