Dallas County News newspaper, July 6, 1995, p. 2, col. 6: "Adel - Harley PRICE, 85 of Adel died July 1, 1995, of a respiratory ailment at Adel Acres Care Center. Graveside services were held on July 3 at Shupe Cemetery in Lacona. Mr. PRICE was born in Rolla, N.D., on Feb 20, 1910, to Joseph and Ethel PRICE. He lived in Adel for the past 10 years, previously residing in Dallas, Boone and Clarke Counties. Mr. PRICE retired as a farmer in 1979, and belonged to Panther Creek Church of the Brethren. Mr. PRICE is survived by his daughters, Lavon DOHERTY of Adel, and May HALL of Pasadena, Calif. He is also survived by four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mr. PRICE was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Eugene, Esli, and Charles; and three sisters, Effie PERCH, Sylvia ABRAHAMSON and Opal STEBLETON. Memorial contributions may be made to the Panther Creek Church of the Brethren."
